I would like to thank you for your interest in working with us on the Technical side of making our videos. I want to start by saying that we have no need for sound people, or many of the other people that would normally be utilized for most video productions. All we need is camera people. We need both digital photo and digital video camera people. Most of the people who get in touch with me about working as a Tech are simply trying to gain access to our parties without having to be in our videos and they have absolutely no experience behind a camera of any type. I have even let a few people do this in hopes of gaining a dependable camera person. Almost all of them have ended up doing one video shoot and then never came back because they quickly learn that being a camera person is not easy work no matter what you are video taping, including sex. THE GOOD CAMERA MAN ( Yes it is long but read it anyway! ) As a camera man your job is to shoot what happens at the parties, plain and simple. Most professional camera men even admit that video taping sex becomes somewhat boring after about the first 5 minuets. Camera men also admit that, quite often it is not easy to get a good camera shot because amateurs sometimes forget about the camera and concentrate on the sex. A good camera man does not drink (heavily), try to score sex, at our parties. Instead they move through the maze of naked swingers silently capturing everything that happens. A good camera man knows the difference between a head shot and a bust shot (and neither of these descriptions have to do with sex). A good camera man knows when his camera is recording and not recording so that I don't have to edit out 15 minuets of people's feet and the floor. A good camera man knows that quite often you have to almost get into the action to be able to record it and they are not afraid to physically get close up on the subject. A good camera man understands pause/record time delay and knows when to pause the camera to get a good shot and when to move smoothly yet quickly for a cumshot with out pausing the camera or much warning. A good camera man knows what a zoom is and knows how NOT to use it! A good camera man understands what establishing a shot is. On a good note, a good camera man never has to worry about shot composition because of the nature of the subject he will be shooting. A good camera man knows when his camera's batteries are dying and can quickly switch them out without having to bother me (Sinclair). A good camera man always has several batteries with him (that I of course supply) so he doesn't have leave a scene to switch out batteries. A good camera man knows what exposure is and how to adjust for shadows or low light. A good camera man does not stand in front of a light totally blocking the light from the shot he is trying to get. A good digital photo camera man knows what "flash refresh time" is and doesn't waste a bunch of digital shots with no flash. A good digital camera man knows about shot composition and knows how to get it even though the subjects are moving. A good digital photo camera man gets the good shots. A good digital photo camera man will know how to focus a camera or at least give the camera time to self focus. A good digital photo camera man can deliver about a 75 to 80% quality shot. A good digital photo camera man won't hesitate to quietly ask the talent to "look here for a second" or "hold that for just a second" to get a good shot. A good camera man won't hesitate to get people who are watching a scene out of his way so that he can shoot the action. Finally a good camera man might actually get some action if he does a good job, but more than likely it will not be at the party, because at the party, a good camera man will be working. ARE YOU A GOOD CAMERA MAN If you feel you are a good camera man I invite you to get in touch with me (Sinclair). Please keep in mind the requirements below. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Just like everyone else in the company even camera people have to sign model releases and provide two ID's. Title 18 USC 2257 specifies that everyone at the video production must be over 18, this includes camera people. 2. For now e-mail me sinclair@kandipeach.com and tell me about your camera experience and be sure to put "TECH" in the subject line of your e-mail. Tell me about any experience you have as a camera person, either video or photo. Keep in mind that we don't pay tech people but you will have fun and meet a lot of interesting people. If you want to be a photo camera man and you do not have your own digital camera you will have to be able to operate a Nikon Cool Pix Digital Camera. The Digital Camera is very east to operate but still has some limitations and issues that must be learned before attending a video shoot. 3. After I reply to your e-mail, amateur camera people will have to send me a video tape or copies of photos so that I can see some of their camera work. I want to be able to see what you can do with a camera before we interview you face to face.
